Thanks for pulling this information together, Quincas!  My other recent
re-introduction to op amps was from the EEVblog tutorial:

specifically in synth applications.  Do you have any more SDIY class videos
planned,  op-amps or otherwise?

I've been binging Mr. Carlson's Lab

more things like this on youtube.
