[sdiy] What test gear do you use?

Extech meter (radio shack, urgent need when the previous meter died in the
middle of a project, so the need overrode the desire to look for something
a bit better). Use it for volts, resistance, continuity, sometimes
capacitance, and frequency counter. Someday I'll get a nice Fluke.
DSO Quad scope, as linked in the scopes thread, running community firmware
and add ons to implement a logic analyzer and a frequency analyzer. I use
this as my primary scope nearly continuously, it's compact size (smaller
than a cellphone) is important in a fairly cramped work space. I've gotten
a lot of mileage out of the frequency analyzer, it has helped me do mods to
(for example) the Buchla 292 filter so that it actually matches the legend
on the panel, and I used it for comparison of responses in original vs
XVive MN3005 BBD chips (the XVive response is a bit different, but not
wildly so).
I have a Tek 2236A bought from a fellow list member a few years ago, but I
only just recently figured out an arrangement that let me have it at my
desk. So far it hasn't gotten a lot of use, though I did have fun with X-Y
mode (the DSO does a poor job of that) and Ian Fritz's double well chaos
module.
Also in the "Someday" category with the Fluke is a Rigol, as Quincas points
out I'm likely to get one of the lower models and muck with the firmware.
