I guess it depends on what you're doing.
For a lot of synth stuff it tends to be low power, but for where you 
need power you could go bigger, a current design at work uses 0201 for 
things like pull ups and decoupling, 0402 for the majority (lots of 
options in values) and we have a couple of 0.5W 0805 resistors (0.1 ohms 
and 0.07 ohms).. So for me it's a case of I'll go for as small as I'm 
able :)
