Hi everyone,
While my friend and I were playing my ESQ-1 about 10 years ago it suddenly died. I was very broke at the time and didn't have the money to fix it, so I kept the motherboard (and display) hoping someone else could use the parts on it. As you probably know, the motherboard has 8x socketed Curtis CEM3328 Low-Pass Filter chips on it.
Well, I *finalllly* got it together to photograph the mother board and put it up online for sale. If you are interested in getting it to repair another ESQ-1 or just to use the filter chips, I'm auctioning it off at

These are some of the key chips found on this motherboard:

I'm not sure exactly what went wrong in the synth. It turned off completely, as opposed to a single voice failure. So I can't guarantee any of the parts. But most likely all of them but one work, or possibly even all, and it was a power supply failure.
But boy am I kicking myself for not getting it repaired way back then... It's a great synth and I love it's sequencer and modulation options! It's so simple and beautiful and clear. sigh... It really seemed like it was Bob Yannes' dream after making the MOS 6581 chip with so many compromises, to finally have a really, good, clear, predictable hybrid digital/analog synthesizer.
Anyway, I threw out the huge, heavy metal case as I was also moving around in tiny apartments and had almost no space, but kept this motherboard because I just wanted it to go to a good home! Thank you for looking.
