[sdiy] [OT] Soldering pins on QFP, etc

Yor sanity disclaimer at the beginning of your message does not alow me
to tell you that soldering individual pins is not the way to go. I will
also not tell you that you can use ANY tip to solder those, even a big
nail heated with lighter. Just as long as you use solder thin enough and
proper flux. And you probably don't care if I tell you that I solder
0.5mm pitch chips with chisel tips, from 1 to 5mm wide, and sometimes
few other tips specifically designed for that job.

So if you want specific fine tip soldering iron only for soldering TQFP
pins one by one, get cheap $26 iron from Ali, can't remember the name of
it, 3 letters with probably "Q" in there and maybe "X". It even has one
sharp tip in the set. It's surprisingly good.

And if you don't want to replace tips, that's maybe because your iron is
not designed for quick tip change. There are a lot of brands today
making stations with tip change procedure that lasts 3 seconds, and
actual heating up from room temperature takes from 5 to 20 seconds. That
makes you enjoy replacing tips even if it's not necessary.
