It depends on the materials. Kapton is only good for a few squeegeeings
(?) before it dies, but stainless steel should last a long time. Keep in
mind this would be a stencil and not a silk screen, so there would be
no support in open area to keep the squeegee from contacting the work in
wider open areas of the stencil. It is so cheap though, as you say, why
not give it a try?
