I go for 7cm deep behind the panel when making skiffs. They'll still fit a
3 board sandwich like the Leapfrog Filter as long as the bus board is in
another row.
I like skiffs, there's no need for modular cabinets to be super deep these
days, and part of the point of Eurorack is portability. Also a skiff can be
placed flat on a table, or angled slightly, so it's more flexible than
traditional deeper cabs like the Doepfers.
