We're all just dogs on the internet really.

That's why, if anyone has any real questions about a chip, they should
contact the manufacturer directly.

I guess it depends on your definition of "major".  In my day job, 10k
units would be a pre-production prototype run, and in production
somewhere in the region of 20-30k units per week.  And in a former
job, around 1M units a week.
