The 13600 buffers is not stupid, just what they bothered to do back
in the day for what was required on the request from el-organ
manufacturers apparently.

Grape whine says AS3394 is not pin replacement for the old one rather
QFN24 (only) with some of the internal signals pulled out and one
"new function unit" put onto a pin. Not that exiting but usable for some.

The issue with AR and CoolAudio as far have understood from various
sources is that they are not in the game of "redesigning/do major
functionality improvement of CEM designs because that cost tremendous
amount of money. Rather just do minor if any improvement and reproduce.
Seams fair to me if your a small scaler runing on old geometry and processes.

Anyho you can still make your SCI Sixtrak copy if you want to. Im looking
forward to the debacle of 20 different Sixtrak manufacturers trying to sell
their product (popcorn and soda emoticon).

Im looking forward to 3394 but the problem with Alfa and QFN24 is that
AR is not following the QFN24 standard by floating the power pad.
AR argue in marketing the power pad and QFN24 improves design
spec but they haven't shown that in their data sheets and in particular
the specs that matters.

QFN was designed on purpose for "power circuits" that does not mean
you cant use QFN for other things, to the contrary but i would have
suggested AR to GND the power pad..... Just saying.

Besides now when Uli the emperor have entered an already saturated
modular market with his Roland copies it will just take him to start make
not even copies of the most selling modules to ruin any boutique
manufacturer.

Poor musician v.s rich dentists who can only afford filthy expensive synths
argument is just silly and dumb. There is a reason Ferrari and RollsRoyce
exist, if you dont have money your not entitled.

End of sociology rant.
