[sdiy] Midi octave shift

I should have added in my post that I really know only a few keys on a keyboard,
the one I know the best is C maj and C min so with a transpose parameter, I can
play in any musical key by transposing up or down as needed to make it conform to
the keys I know best.  I'd bet I'm not the only one as well...
