Is that part (the whole flex circuit) not available from Roland? Is this the Roland R-05 digital recorder? Is it still in production?

Companies like Roland sometimes have repair parts available long after the model has gone out of production.

After the parts supply is gone, sometimes it’s worth having a new flex circuit designed and fabbed to match the OEM part. But, that is certainly expensive when you only need one. Only when OEM and remanufactured options are exhausted would I consider hand-repair of a flex circuit. There’s just a lot of variability with the latter.
