[sdiy] Guitar levels (slightly OT)

I would consider a passive (transformer) DI as a first try, maybe with a 20 or 40 db pad?
I re-amp line level signals in my guitar amp like this, and it works fine. Euro will still be hotter than line level, hence the pad.

I built one of these from DIY/RE and it works quite well for getting line level down to guitar level, like a transformer based reverse DI. Guitars with active pickups aren’t line level, they’re just a bit hotter than regular guitar level, maybe 6-10db difference in terms of the gain setting going into a preamp expecting guitar level signal, like the DIs on my MOTU.

Euro puts out much higher than line level though, unless you're specifically using an output module designed for that, or attenuating the signal on the way out.
I'm pretty sure I've seen guitar amps with line ins.... but I don't have any so I can't say for sure.

Hi,
Quick question: I need to output a signal from a Eurorack system to a guitar amp. Are there amps that have line level inputs? I seem to recall guitars with active electronics put out line level. True?
Thanks!
