I hope that the new-old ICs will make people invent more than regurgitate.

There's such a lot of ideas not realized yet. Remember that the CEM/SSM
products disappeared from the synths when they were still largely standard
subtractive VCO-VCF-VCA machines. We have 30 years of synthesis to
reinvent! ;-)
