Why PA ? I thought POM was the best polymer for machining.
Also, PA is hygroscopic so it deforms with ambient humidity.
Probably not a good thing in this application.

Apparently, the gearing is unusual enough that they can't be
machined with standard equipment.

Wait, are you saying that 3D printing hasn't yet made all other
modes of fabrication obsolete ? Some people would be shocked to
