Most of these points *are* specified by Doepfer.  The fact that other
manufacturers deliberately don't follow the specifications is a potential
problem with any specification that doesn't have a legal team running
around making threats to enforce it, and I'm not sure legal enforcement of
a synth format is something we (especially in DIY-land) would really want.
