[sdiy] Ultrasonic cleaners and key grease - opinions sought!

I'd be interested in this topic too.
I bought an ultrasonics cleaner a year ago and started cleaning
potentiometers and switches. It works, but it takes much longer than you
would think. And since I have to desolder the parts from the pcb anyway,
there is not much difference in the effort of doing the ultrasonic bath
/ drying / relubing process and simply opening the potentiometer, clean
with alcohol on a q-tip, then Caig FL5, and finally FL100.
Since my dog goes nuts(!) when I start the ultrasonic cleaner, I have to
do this outside - not much fun in the rain or when it is snowing...
The topic about the right fader lube, fader grease, key grease still is
not very clear to me.
