That's regular ribbon cable with 0.1'' pitch, I think it's 36-wires, easy to get in any electronic store as "flat ribbon cable". I guess that's the one connecting panel board with mainboard? It's hard to believe the cable is broken in the middle, unless there are some clearly visible marks of abuse. I's expect them to break at the connectors first. Have you checked continuity with multimeter? All panel pots are working as expected?
