The best feature of MIDI is the current loop I/O. It is an elegant
solution to the problem of ground loops (proposed by the ARP folks who
built the Chroma). Ground loops is exactly what most USB ports are
experiencing now when used for MIDI. Learn from history or be doomed
to repeat it.
