1: Lm13700, TL074 (72, 71), V2164D, 2n5457, Lm311, CD40106, 4017....

2: Just look into synth circuits. Some good resources are www.yusynth.com
and www.musicfromouterspace.com

3: line level = +/- 2v. Instrument level is high impedance, very low
voltages (same as mic/electric guitar). Synth Audio and CV levels can have
form 10 to 20 v swing.  Audio is bipolar (+/-5v up to +/-10v). CV can be
bipolar or positive only (+/-5v, +/-10v, 0 to 10v)

4: depending on which circuits you are building, you will need either 12v
bipolar or 15v bipolar. Power will depend on how many and which modules you
are powering.

5: I've mentioned yusynth and MFOS, others on the list will surely mention
Electronotes, Oakley, Cat Girl Synth and others. The Facebook Synth DiY
group is great too.
