You won't think of this as nuts after inspecting stuff that can only be
done with the aid of a stereo microscope ;) (well I don't need one for
QFN level stuff, yet anyway)
Btw, SOIC parts go nicely onto regular spacing perfboard if you split
the copper eyes in half with a sharp knife. (in case no one mentioned
such things in this thread yet - I can't keep up with all emails lately,
just skimming)
