I did not upgrade from Win7 to Win10 because in Win7 I run Windows Virtual
PC XP mode for my old programs. Microsoft's Virtual PC no longer runs in
Win10 but I have been told other virtual machines will. I just never
bothered to investigate it but it might be worth checking out. It works
well for my old programs. The only issue is the disk size just continues to
grow so every now and then I have to compact my virtual drive. It seems to
grow significantly in size for not doing too much in XP.

Subject: [sdiy] Need MIDI sequencer recommendation, please
Hi Folks-
(Off topic, sorry)
My ancient WinXP computer died last week and has left me orphaned with a
bunch of MIDI equipment with no way to control it. I have a Win10 computer
but my legacy MIDI SW won't work on it (64 bits). My biggest loss is I have
no MIDI sequencer. Can anyone recommend a free or low cost MIDI sequencer?
I'm trying to avoid investing time evaluating a number of sequencers that
I'll eventually drop.
Thanks - John Speth
