For what it's worth, the Lilypond manual uses the term "polymeteric" for
both of these.

Gould's _Behind Bars_ also groups them both under the heading "Polymetre."
So although there is a useful distinction here, I wonder how standardized
it is, and whether (like "paraphony") it's something coined within the
synthesizer business to describe a distinction for which other fields
don't use a specific term.
