Yes the ASR mode is a quantizer, It has a large amount of western and
eastern scales.
It's a super powerful module and in most cases I like to have two in use in
a patch. Each in a different mode. Over ten different modes some envelopes
some quantizers and a Lorenz follower. I haven't updated to the latest
software but it keeps getting better an more modes are being developed and
old ones refined.

I've built a few dozen of them and there is only one chip that is a little
fiddly, everything on that board can be done by a new comer to soldering. A
nice small wedge tip, thin solder and plyers are all you need.
