It wouldn't be difficult to patch together. There's a basic description here:

I've done similar stuff with sine or triangles oscs (although you can try squares and ramps for fun, obviously). The key part is the "windowing", (which is what hard sync does to create formants too, incidentally) which is multiplication of one waveform with a window function - a ring mod or even a VCA if you watch out for input polarity.

I don't know of anyone who's put these elements together into a single module in analog hardware. I've seen a few digital oscillators that implement the algorithm.
