Yeah, I wondered about that part too. What "parallel" arrangement did you have in mind, David?
There's an example in the datasheet of four 2164s in parallel feeding a single I-to-V stage, IIRC - a handy voltage-controlled mixer design. Presumably that's not the "parallel" you're thinking of.
