Thank you for the link, and this is exactly what I am talking about.
For the 4046 VCO Thomas Henry did NOT use the TI part, but the Motorolla, so you may want to change that.
And fun fact is that the 446s with 1% linearity worked well, hoever, the 4046s with .5% or less did not.
