[sdiy] Dual channel parallel dac and adc

Hi guys,

I'm playing with the idea to build a stereo bit mangler and look for
suitable dac and adc. A parallel interface is easiest as I plan to run it
without a controller, and with an external clock. Parallel allows to modify
individual bits easily in this case.

With the aim for stereo a dual channel dac and adc makes sense, but i have
seen these share their parallel interface between the channels. How are
channels encoded then? And can I manipulate bits for two channels as easily
as those of a single channel dac?
