I don't want to argue here, just stating my experience ;)

by that argument you could also say you want the gas pedal in your car 
to be on the left side instead of right and the car should work how you 
want it to work. I'd say if you press the brake and expect the car to

It might be that in some programs you just drag an object to move it.
I don't see a problem in kicads way to move object by pointing the mouse 
over it and press the "m" key to move it.

if you want to move a component without breaking the wire you have to 
hold the "strg" key on the keyboard... or use "g" instead of "m"

No I just say I've been using it for the past 5 years, also for 
commercial projects, and like using it.
Never encountered a real show stopper.
I don't say it is perfect and I admit it still needs a lot of work in 
some areas, but I can perfectly work with the program.
I even think it is much better than for example LT Spice ;) and I much 
prefer it over eagle.
