[sdiy] Need help with a SMD kit (OT?)

I was thinking more in terms of noise as, at least in through hole,
larger wattage of the same resistor seem to exhibit less noise. The
datasheet says low noise but doesn't give any spec.
The RG3216 is 1206 (imperial) package and 1/2W. Now my only complaint
is price. 9.1 cents in quantity as opposed to 1.4 cents in through hole
at Mouser. RG2012 series 0805, 1/8W are a little cheaper. These are
also .5% tolerance, so a little tighter than the 1% through hole.
Probably worth a try.
There are some cheaper thin films ones from Yageo but no noise specs and
no mention of resistive material either.
