MCL4148 comes in squareish micro-MELF. The metal ends are still round, but glass body is square and does not roll. Probably more expensive to put something a round the ends that then makes it square? Well, they come from the same production line as wire-ended metal film resistors, just before they weld on the wires.  So they are easier to get into hi-rel products (automotive, aerospace, etc) due to the well-characterised production process.
