Hey SDIY team,
Where do you guys buy your Through-Hole MLCC capacitors? For all my synth
DIY moxy, I'm really not very good at buying stuff. I was just on Digikey
and left very discouraged. I'd really love to find a nice kit with a good
selection of values from about 100pF to 1uF (say, every other standard
value) in C0G and X7R at a 50V rating. Am I dreaming the impossible dream?
Are these things really that hard to find now? I used to get those lovely
blue EKCO caps from my university. I loved those because they were marked
with legible white printing that I could read without a magnifying glass.
Also, even though they were 5% or 10% tolerance, they were generally within
1% of their stated values. Of all the companies to go out of business....
Anyway, any advice would be most heartily appreciated.
Hugs,
Dave Dixon
