It may be a competitor for the Cherry MX but it is not a clone. The 
(legendary) Cherry MX has an opaque cross 'X' stem for attaching the 
keycap and this makes it particularly poor for backlighting. But that 
doesn't stop people from trying. I think this Kailh keyswitch is a far 
better solution when backlighting is required.  Just need to find some 
now ;-)
