I see the point that the many responses are making regarding aliasing.

So, rather than saying that "there's no aliasing to worry about," I might have understood if it was phrased as "all aliasing that is present is most likely unobjectionable." There's most certainly going to be aliasing unless the reconstruction filter is adequate at all frequencies, but I concede that the aliasing won't be as horrible as it would sound in a fixed-frequency sampling rate system.

I still haven't had the time to scrutinize the schematic. I did look at Vintage Synth, and there the Synthex is described as an analog synth. Mario Maggi's description seems to describe a DCO with compensated current injection for the sawtooth integrator. I am very interested in unraveling this particular mystery.
