If it's really an early unit (and no, the color doesn't really give that info 
and the serial numbers on those units weren't created the way you assume them 
to)… these didn't have a voice expansion as they were not expandable at all, 
although someone may have tried it anyway.  Check the main board version, it 
should both be on the board somewhere and mentioned in the diagnostics.  If 
there's a mismatch between what the board really is and the uC thinks it 
should be, then it's unlikely that the DSP boot is going to work.
