Empirically, if a digital device malfunctions and it's not the
usual suspects (power supply, switches, pots, connectors and
capacitors), the RAM is the next thing I'll look into. Well,
that and any 4000-series chips.

Then again, some people might point out that I couldn't repair
my way out of a wet paper bag, so make of that what you will.
