[sdiy] Coloured LEDs

Not directly synth-related but I have some experience with Adafruit
NeoPixels... there is an open-source library called FastLED that talks to
neopixel controller chips, and it's excellent.  I didn't analyze its CPU
performance since my project was almost purely an LED controller and didn't
have other work to do... but the ease of use and impressiveness of results
was quite high. :)
