When I assembled my Oakley sound Little LFO, I substituted two
green LEDs for the bicolour one. Instead of one LED changing
colour, you see one LED turn on and the other turn off.

It takes more panel space but it's easier to read, especially at
high speed. Apparently, human vision is much better at detecting
changes in brightness than changes in hue. Even for trichromats.

Alternatively, there are red-blue bicolour LEDs.
