Who did you ask?
Analog Devices stopped making SSM2164 years ago. The only
manufacturer currently selling them is CoolAudio (part of
Behringer/Music-Group) in the guise of the V2164, which is available
in both PTH and SMT.....
Oooh wait, no, you're right .... bloody hell.... they only list the
DIP-16 package variant, which would be the V2164D.
Hmmm... I wonder why they stopped advertising the SMT version online?
Could it be just a slip-up? Or are Behringer trying to kill off
Eurorack competition? *ouch*
For small quantities you might find local distributors like Small Bear
and Cabin Tech have what you need.
