Hi,
Remember a while ago I was having trouble getting the full range out of
a 2044 design? Well, I was playing with the new 2144 from Sound Semi
when I realized what I was doing wrong. The 2044 ( and 2144) frequency
pin goes positive and negative. The datasheet example is rigged for a
bipolar input for frequency control. I was doing unipolar. Since the
freq pin in exponential, a small reduction in voltage range results in a
large reduction in frequency range. My new design works well. I just
need to bias it for unipolar control.
The SSI2144 sounds great btw
