[sdiy] SSM chip reissue

This is probably premature, but am anxious to get back into electronic design and construction again
- after spending way too much time with uC code, but any word if us hobbyists and synth enthusiasts 
are going to be able to get these in small quantities?
I would be surprised if the big parts houses don't carry these in their line up

I just studied the datasheet and am pretty anxious and inspired.
This SSOP and chip tempco will also be an incentive to do some smt work. 
The site does mentions a pdip outline however, so I will wait;)
