I've looked at DS several times over the years. It does have a good
heritage (I used Easy-PC running on DOS at university *mumble* years
ago), and I think some of the things it does lend it towards
professional use. And I accept that whatever package I move to I junk
the supplied libraries and create my own. But - so far - every time I
try DS I end up shouting at the screen wondering why the f**k simple
things don't work. I think if push came to shove it could be made to
work as I want, and seems to work for quite a few folks if you believe
the marketing hype. Like any powerful tool it will require a
considerable investment in time to get it dance the way you want it
to.
