Good to hear that, Tom! I guess I ought to just give these things a shot. And while not in the realm of single 3.3V, I could easily have these bits powered by two batteries, with a USB input to charge them. 

I suppose I could also just use charge-pump or DCDC guy to get +/- whatever out of a 5V input. I've already put a lot of effort into eliminating trim pots and making things cheap, so I guess I'm having fun trying to figure this out instead of just throwing parts at it.
