The drawback of full dielectric isolation is that the thermal coupling through 
the oxide is several orders of magnitude worse than silicon.  This limits some 
types of circuits that rely on good temperature matching between devices at 
very different power levels and also reduces the SOA of any devices operated 
at high power significantly.  Also, not all types of noise are (mostly) 
coupled through the substrate, so the benefit of isolating each individual 
transistor might not be as great as you'd want to think.
