Yes, but I'm ​curious if he uses any discrete *op-amp* constructions? The
normal way of using transistors is to build transistor gain stages, not
discrete op-amps in particular.

There are very few places in a synth where you actually need an op-amp
function, unless you're building it from op-amps. :-)
