Many moons ago when I was first building and my choices for op-amps was a 741 or a TL0(6/7/8)(1/2/4) (if I could find them) and a CA3080 where needed, I often resorted to using a few TO92 devices to create a long tail pair to get the characteristics I wanted.

As I think I saw someone else post, there are so many options today for good op-amps that can achieve most of the characteristics you mentioned, if not in a single device, certainly in two and this is where the older texts will help reapplied to use with modern devices.
