[sdiy] breadboard woes

Measuring AC with a DC meter isn't going to work. Measuring a square 
wave at audio frequencies isn't going to work with a cheap meter either. 
What you're probably seeing is the average voltage and that is why 
you're seeing around 2V.

Need to get an oscilloscope.
