[sdiy] LM386 alternative?

Anyone have a favorite low power audio amp IC?

I was worried about the LM386 being discontinued by TI but I see its
second-sourced by a bunch of folks but now I'm wondering if there is a better
option in the low power amp catagory perhaps with an even lower external parts
count?  Stereo would be nice too.

Any suggestions?
