Hi people,
If you have a Mozilla-ish browser then the uBlock origin add-on is a
must, it blocks a lot of crap sites and pop-ups.
I also have the NoScript add-on (noscript.net) wich is a pleasure to
use, it lets you control all whats behind the screen.
Another resource that is very useful and I used for years is to
redirect all those nasty sites to null in the etc/host file.
There are listings with hundred of thousands of sites with
ads/tracks/malware already compiled to download and use.
With these simple steps and a bit of common sense I even permit me the
luxury of not having an antivirus/antimalware
software in this machine.
On the other hand... err... what was it?
Oh, The Scope Artist. It's in my to do list. but there is a homebrew
scope before in the list...and the multimode filter...
well, one of these days...
