Atlanta once had TechAmerica (part of Tandy?) and Microcenter.
TechAmerica is gone. Microcenter eliminated their library and
only sold subsystems for the build your own computer crowd,
although they've recently started stocking maker stuff such
as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. We now have Fry's in Alpharetta
and Duluth. I've only been to the Alpharetta location. They
sell a lot of chips, prototyping stuff, and test equipment.

It would seem difficult to be profitable with a retail store
that only sells electronic parts. Fry's probably survives on
their sales of appliances, electronics, games, music, and
movies. It might be possible to survive as a maker space that
sold electronic parts. I'm thinking about trying that as a
way to help pay for the maker space.
