Years ago I did an ARM microcontroller board with lots of dedicated
I/O blocks, USB, HFVCOs, power supplies, etc.  It ended up spreading
out over 9 x A4 pages.  Once arranged as a 3x3 grid on one "page" then
it prints out as 9 individual pages on the printer.  One advantage of
this method is that you can quickly move to a different section simply
by zooming out and in.
